電影《歡樂合唱團：3D音樂會》，把歡樂合唱團名為「Glee Live! In Concert!」的巡迴演出，其中位於紐澤西州東羅塞福(East Rutherford)的部分，搬上了大螢幕。不僅如此，還收錄了幕後花絮，以及同名電視影集第一季與第二季的完整曲目。 

2010年五月份時，歡樂合唱團在北美進行了13場售票巡迴演出。而在2011年五月初時，二十世紀福斯公司(20th Century Fox)與歡樂合唱團影集製片萊恩墨菲(Ryan Murphy)宣布，將把北美巡演期間所拍攝的影像製成3D影片。後來福斯公司更宣布，要從今年夏天舉行的「Glee Live! In Concert!」巡演當中，挑選出部分影片發行成《GLEE LIVE! 3D!》。 

3D版的歡樂合唱團於8月12日上映，放映期間只有短短兩週，相信將會讓好幾百萬的粉絲們，以全新的方式領略歡樂合唱團的美妙。

Glee: The 3D Concert Movie depicts a Glee cast concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey during the group's Glee Live! In Concert! tour. It features behind-the-scenes footage, and a setlist of songs from the show's first and second seasons. 

 In May 2010, the Glee cast performed a sell-out 13-date North American concert tour. In early May 2011, it was announced that 20th Century Fox and series creator Ryan Murphy would together produce a 3-D film of the tour, shot during the North American leg narration part: 20th Century Fox announced today that it will release 'GLEE LIVE! 3D!,' a feature film culled from footage that will be shot during this summer's upcoming 'Glee Live! In Concert!' tour.

The 3D extravaganza will enjoy a two-week theatrical run beginning Aug. 12. The multi-generational phenomenon that has inspired millions to embrace their inner-Gleek will soon bring them together to experience Glee a whole new way.
