在電影《帕納大師的魔幻冒險(The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus)》首映會上，大家都向已故演員希斯‧萊傑(Heath Ledger)致意，他在拍攝這部電影期間，因服藥過量猝死於紐約。

由克里斯多夫‧柏麥(Christopher Plummer)所飾演的帕納大師，因為與惡魔訂下契約，已經活了好幾百年。至於深受帕納信賴的助手皮爾希(Percy)，則由維尼‧特洛耶(Verne Troyer)飾演。由湯姆‧威茲(Tom Waits)所飾演的惡魔，打算在帕納女兒維藍堤娜滿十六歲之際，把她帶走，不過也留給帕納最後拯救女兒的機會。

而本片的場景，從倫敦街區來到東搖西晃的老舊馬車裡，再轉換到充滿奇幻與神奇特效的魔幻之地。預計在十月十六日，電影《帕納大師的魔幻冒險》將於全英國上映。

INTRO:  Heath Ledger's last film "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus" premieres in the movie's setting, London. Director Terry Gilliam gets teary-eyed as he talks about the late Heath Ledger at the premiere of "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus" in what was to be the actor's last film before he died.

STORY:  Tributes poured out to Heath Ledger at the premiere of "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus" on Tuesday (October 6). The actor died of an accidental drug overdose during the making of the film.

Director Terry Gilliam's first thought when Ledger died in New York was to ditch "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus," which was only half finished. But encouraged by people around him to continue, and helped by actors Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell who played Ledger's character in three separate dream sequences, Gilliam eventually completed the movie.

"When you actually see magic in action like you see here. And you see that much love for somebody, it gets you," Gilliam, who became teary eyed while talking about the late actor, told Reuters Television.

Gilliam decided to use three actors rather than one to complete the role of Tony, made possible because they appear in a land of the imagination entered through a magic mirror.

Ledger plays Tony, who is found hanging from a bridge in London but is revived by Anton and Valentina, members of a horse-drawn traveling theater which has the power to allow people to walk into a world of their dreams.

Christopher Plummer stars as Doctor Parnassus, a man who has lived for centuries after making a pact with the devil, performed by Tom Waits.  Verne Troyer plays Percy, the doctor's trusted sidekick and the voice of reason. The devil plans to take away his daughter Valentina when she turns 16, but gives Parnassus one last chance to save her.

The action moves from the streets of London and inside the rickety old wagon to fantastical, special effects-laden landscapes that represent people's imaginations.

The movie opens across Britain on October 16.
